Some of the types of folks who study society tell us that somewhere in the past 25 years or so we began to shift away from the idea of working just because you’re supposed to do so, and beginning to view work as a vehicle to get money to do things and get stuff.

I know I certainly like doing things.  I love baseball games – even if my favorite team is still the Houston Astros.  I bleed Duke Blue.  I also love getting to a venue to watch a great concert – especially if the concert involves Jimmy Buffett and the quite famous Buffett tailgate party.
